Dedicated Hosting


As with all providers, our Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated Servers do not come with any server management by default.


Managed VPS and Server plans are typically designed for those who don’t have a system administrator either in-house or at call and require specific needs, that are not supported within a shared hosting environment. With a Managed service Digital Pacific can configure the set up of your server and help with additional support you may require.


Self Managed

Self Managed is where you manage all aspects of your server environment, including troubleshooting issues(excl. hardware) and configuring all other aspects of the VPS such as Software Firewalls, IDS, and the installation of patches and updates to control panels and the operating system.

We still assist in the initial setup(Server Provisioning) which includes:

  • Installation of vanilla operating system
  • Reverse DNS Setup

All other configuration and day to day management tasks, including troubleshooting issues need to be handled by yourself. If you would like us to troubleshoot issues (not outlined above), this will be charged as custom support at $95/hr.

If you do not feel comfortable managing your server environment to this degree, please choose one of our Managed VPS solutions or add management to your plan if purchasing a Dedicated Server.

All support for third party software should be obtained directly from the relevant software vendor by the VPS customer.


Self Managed

All servers that are under listed under “Fully Managed” service level will have below inclusions and exclusions.
Fully Managed Servers include:

  • Initial Setup (Auto Server Provisioning)
  • Automated Daily CDP backups
  • 24 by 7 Monitoring (at 5 minutes intervals through SNMP)
  • cPanel Installation (Manage and set up websites/mail/accounts/databases from web based control panel)
  • Installation/Configuration support of DNS and MySQL
  • OS rebuilds at no additional cost (re-installation of custom components will be charged additional)
  • Operating System Updates – Proactive
  • Reverse DNS Setup
  • Troubleshooting Network issues
  • Advice – Our Administrators are available to provide you with advice regarding any and all server related issues or questions you have. We can provide you with recommendations regarding upgrades, performance improvements and other related questions.


  • Troubleshooting of issues caused by customer misconfiguration issues and non-standard changes in configuration by customers are NOT covered under this service level and will be charged under custom support from $95hr
  • Issues that are caused by third party software and bugs are not covered and need to be addressed by customer directly by the software vendors
  • Customer application/code level issues are not covered and needs to be addressed directly by customer or their developer.
