Want to know what’s been happening at Digital Pacific HQ lately? Then read on below!
First of all, we could all be dead.
Gonners.
Completely barbecued.
But luckily, the lightning struck over the exact opposite side of the quay from our office last week! If you didn’t see it in the news already, the Sydney Harbour Bridge was struck by lightning on Friday, making for a tremendous amount of noise that spiced up our Friday afternoon.
Prior to the pants-wetting electrical savagery of the bridge, we’d indulged on a feast of Turkish Pide for our weekly team lunch, reminding ourselves just how much we truly love simple carbohydrates en masse.
If you are a regular reader of our office roundups, you may recall last week’s mention of the upcoming release of Let’s Encrypt. We are pleased to say this is now available to all of our personal, business and reseller hosting customers! We’re getting a lot of positive feedback on this feature and can happily report that the launch went without a hitch. If you’d like to know all the ins and outs of Let’s Encrypt, we’ve written a comprehensive summary and FAQ here.
Our Dev Team are currently working in conjunction with our SysAdmin team to bring domain privacy to our feature-set. We’re extremely close to releasing this functionality now and hopefully will be able to fill you in a bit more on how to enable it in the next week or two! This feature will allow you to mask your WHOIS information on non-.au domains – preventing these details from being publicly available and stopping spammers from… well, spamming.
In Marketing, we’re getting ready to bring you our latest masterpiece, in conjunction with paws a cause close to our hearts. Stay tuned in the coming days for that! We’ve also recently been busy with the re-branding of Qantas Business Rewards, formerly known as Acquire Points. You’ll still receive the same great rewards as always, but you may notice the newly updated naming and logo around our website and OnePanel.
That’s it for this edition. Wishing you all a great rest of the week and we’ll see you next time!
