Once the transfer has been completed, a manual renewal will then be required to extend the domains current registration.

STEP 1 – UPDATE YOUR DNS

This step should only be completed if you wish to point your domain to a Digital Pacific hosting service

When you choose to transfer your domain name to Digital Pacific, we suggest that you update your DNS (Domain Name Server) first.

If your domain name registrar offers a domain management interface, you should login and make changes so your domain name points to our name servers.

STEP 2 – EMAIL ADDRESS

Make sure your domain name has your current email address associated with it because the domain transfer initiation email will be sent there. You can usually update or confirm this email address by contacting the company you originally purchased your domain name from, or by accessing their domain management section.

Before you start a transfer of your .au domain you must have the domain transfer code or EPP code. Get Code

STEP 3 – FILL OUT FORM & SUBMIT

Go to our domain transfer page and complete the transfer form. Start transfer

Shortly after submitting the transfer form, an email will be sent to the domain registrant email address requesting permission to initiate the transfer. You must click on the link in that email for the transfer to start. If you do not click on the link the transfer will not start.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Help Icon Transfers of .au domains take 48 hours to complete from the time you click on the link in the domain transfer initiation email. No changes can be made to your domain name whilst the domain transfer is in progress.

When the process is completed, you will receive an email from Digital Pacific confirming that the domain transfer was successful. If you do not receive this email, please contact us to see why the transfer did not complete.
