These DELL servers come with 2 x 500GB SATA hard drives. Drives can be mirrored or left separate. Please see the add-ons tab above for upgrade information.

This is the amount of data transferred to and from your Dedicated server. Data transfer is measured in and out.

RAID 0 Provides improved performance and additional storage but has no fault tolerance. A single disk failure destroys the entire array because when data is written to a RAID 0 drive, the data is broken into fragments. RAID 0 cannot implement error checking so any errors are unrecoverable.

RAID 1 (Recommended) provides fault tolerance from disk errors and failure of all but one of the drives. With RAID 1 the array continues to operate so long as at least one drive functions.

RAID 5 Provides some benefits of RAID 1, with the ability to have more raw storage space. With RAID 5 the array continues to operate when one drive fails. More then one drive failure in the set will result in data loss. The increase of storage space over other RAID levels (such as 1 or 0) make RAID 5 popular when storage space is extremely important.

RAID 10 provides the features of both RAID 1 and RAID 0. Not only is data split across the disks in fragments (like RAID 0), copies of all the fragments are split onto another set of drives (RAID 1). RAID 10 is usually faster then RAID 5, however storage space is reduced due to more drives required to keep data safe. RAID 10 is usually limited to situations where data reliability is important; but not as important as the speed of the reads and writes to the array.

The DRAC (Dell Remote Access Card) is a system management console which has its own interface separate to an operating system. Through a supported web browser, DRAC allows power management, virtual media access and remote console capabilities. System admnistrators have the ability to configure a server as if they were sitting right in front of it.

You can use the online billing portal to view and print past and current invoices, make payments, upgrade or downgrade your account and update other information all in real time.

On request we can change any DNS record to any IP address of your choice.

This allows you to install an SSL certificate purchased from a Secure Certificate provider. SSL certificates are used when sending sensitive information such as credit card information over the internet.

Access your log files to find out information about which pages, images, and files are requested, who requests them, and how many bytes are transferred. These log files can be imported to a separate software package that can give you a complete breakdown and analysis of your web site and how it is performing. They can give you an idea on how to "fine tune" your site to ensure maximum exposure on the web.
