How to Transfer
Below are the steps to transferring your .AU domain to Digital Pacific. For global and other domain names please click here.
- Make sure your domain name has your current email address associated with it because the domain transfer initiation email will be sent there. You can usually update or confirm this email address by contacting the company you originally purchased your domain name from, or by accessing their domain management section.
Before you start a transfer of your .au domain you must have the domain transfer code or EPP code. Please get your code here: http://admin.auda.org.au/passwordMail/PasswordMail - Go to our domain transfer page and complete the transfer form.
- Approximately 12-24 hours after submitting the transfer form, an email will be sent to the domain registrant email address requesting permission to initiate the transfer. You must click on the link in that email for the transfer to start. If you do not click on the link the transfer will not start.
- Domain transfers can take up to 7 days to complete from the time you click on the link in the domain transfer initiation email. No changes can be made to your domain name whilst the domain transfer is in progress.
- When the process is completed, you will receive an email from Digital Pacific confirming that the domain transfer was successful. If you do not receive this email, please contact us to see why the transfer did not complete.
