Network and Data Centre

There are two data centres which house our servers. One is in Australia, and the other is overseas. All hosting plans that are ordered automatically get placed on our servers here in Australia for better speeds, but if you would like your site hosted at our overseas data centre - you can simply request this on signup.

The data centre facilities feature 30,000 square feet of total space, redundant UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), generator backup, VESPA security detection systems, closed circuit monitoring of all areas and entrances, card key access, 24 hour guard manned security, redundant a/c systems, and fibre from 7 separate providers. 

Secure Entry

Our data centre entry areas are totally secure. The front door of the facility must be opened by the security guard who is on duty 24/7/365. Movement throughout the facility must be escorted at all times. There is no other entry door into the facility with the exception of the loading door which is protected by a roll down door and may only be operated with a security officer present. 

Carrier Room

Three of the current fibre providers locate their equipment in the carrier room. The cross connect panels are also located here, as are the core network systems and servers. This area is served by redundant Data Aire 26 Ton units as well as redundant power distribution systems. There are also redundant DC rectifiers. All fibre takes redundant paths throughout the facility as well as having dual entry. 

Eye In The Sky

There is a camera on a track inside the smoked housing. It is controlled by security and can run from end to end and looks to both sides. It is one of over 24 cameras located throughout the facility that are continually monitored by security. It is the guard's responsibility to know at all times who is in the building and where they are.

ATS System

This is an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), which puts the facility on generator power within 15 seconds in the event of utility power failure. There are two ATS's and two generators with 1250 KW and 1,500 KW.
